I am also down for NLHE. I really liked the $25 + $10 bounty format. Distributing the payouts wasn’t as complicated as I thought it was gonna be.

Edit: made the starting chips 3k. This’ll be a fast one.

I can make the tournament in pokerstars shortly

I still have this show on vhs somewhere. Being able to access this material is one of the few positives of the internet.
Here’s the whole show - you owe it to yourself
Steve Goodman was awesome! I'm not sure I ever saw that episode of ACL, but my memory of that year is not terribly clear. Watching it now. Thanks for posting!
eta: Weird flashback. Now I'm pretty sure I have seen this previously. Enjoying it immensely once more.
got some buddies in seattle who do $50 cash game every couple months
it's done with everyone in a zoom chat and he runs the poker itself over some janky web based hosting thing but it's super easy because no downloads/registration/etc you just click the link and you're in - can ask him about the name of it again if interested

He was awesome, Tom. Watching him do these shows in the 70’s always brings mixed feelings. He knew he was dying and yet, he still gave everything he had.
I’d like to think I’d be as strong as him in the face of knowing my time was drawing to an end. I just don’t think that would be the case.

Yeah. There are a lot of similarities with the last months of Warren Zevon's life. I don't have whatever it was that was driving those two guys at that point.
Nice clip! I love that song despite having one of the worst experiences of my life on a short ride on that train while I was in college. It was not exactly as he described. LOL
McLovin has officially turned into my favorite oot poster. His ongoing work in the ff thread is a wonder to behold. Kudos! I hear he's a pretty good chessplayer too. I used to be a fairly bad one, back in the 90s. USCF right around 1700 before I got wise and hung it up.

I wonder if he'll start posting only in unintelligible verse now
