As you can see I'm perfectly polite if someone is genuinely interested in learning more about veganism. And I didn't contact her out of the blue; my message was in reference to a comment she'd made on my status. But when people come into a vegan thread with no other intention than to troll, lie, and try to poke holes in vegan ideology what reaction do they expect?

And a little embellishment never hurt anyone haha

Amazin I have no interest in promoting anything other than a vegan diet, how about you take a break from this threat?

What was it that gave you that impression?

Agreed. I usually think the preachy vegan stereotype is silly but then I refresh this thread..

also if vegan diet + $10 in vitamins/year = omnivore diet i think i'm still coming out ahead? irrelevant bc most ppl I know take a vitamin anyway
Not irrelevant because sensible meat-based diets provide 100% of the vitamins the human body needs, and only when meat eaters don't eat sensibly do they need vitamin supplements; while according to the Vegan Society, vegan diets are fundamentally lacking in B12. It's a diet that is inherently unsuited to humans.

omg i feel like this should be stickied--i dont even believe that vegan diets>omnivore necesarily, but the b12 issue is so silly. the only reason vegans have less b12 is bc animals are injected with it. i can buy a b12 supplement for ~8/year

it dissolves under my tongue and tastes like cherry, yum!

Actually, amazin, you kind of come off like a tool in that IM exchange. Sometimes you have to take someone's hint.

Haha, that person has no interest in becoming vegan. She was being polite.

amazin: you're doing so much good by not consuming animals, but your passion is too overwhelming--show, don't tell!!

amazin,

Seriously, what was her comment before the IM exchange that led you to believe she was genuinely interested in learning more about veganism?

I posted a video of a lamb being slaughtered and she said it was sad

amazin,

Do you really not see how that is not anything remotely close to being "genuinely interested in learning more about veganism?" No trolling, just, isn't it really obvious to you if you just think about it for two seconds?

Maybe not, but no harm in planting seeds. Most people have been indoctrinated to view eating animals as normal. They can see an animal being slaughtered, feel sympathy and eat meat half an hour later. I just want them to make the connection

amazin,

There definitely is, as is evidenced by ~2100 posts ITT, but that's another discussion at least. I'm at least glad you understand that you're coming off as super pushy and preachy in that exchange, initially it seemed like you didn't.

Shut up. You didn't do this, and if this how you go about getting laid, I'll have to assume you're still a virgin.

This thread is starting to get a really sad "I swear I have black friends" vibe from El Diablo now.

Amazin bikes to dates and travels across continents to get flaked on by first dates. His radar re: what other people are interested in isn't exactly sharp.

LoL,

I don't know how familiar you are with the online dating thread, but I'd say it's very likely that happened.

I guarantee you I did. WTF does getting laid have to do with this?

I'll let amazin comment on the wetness of his noodle himself, but let's just say those texts are very much his style.

Maybe one day amazinmets will be intellectually mature enough to deal with someone like El Diablo. Until then he's part of the reason most people hate Vegans.
