Spoiler:
Methylcellulose is a bulk-forming laxative that increases the amount of water in your stools to help make them softer and easier to pass. Methylcellulose is used to treat constipation and to help maintain regular bowel movements. Methylcellulose may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
This is all so gross and everyone should realize it is gross and should not eat it.

I didn't even mind eating homemade chickpea/black bean/lentil oat burgers when the alternative was the soy fake meat, but the pea protein are soooo much better I only ate one homemade patty last year before tossing the rest of them at the end of the summer while cleaning out my freezer.

Probably close to my max weight I've ever been too.

And every second you continue being a vegetarian you get the closest you've been to dying.

Statistics don't lie. Look at all the famous historical vegetarians and vegans. 100% of the time, they eventually die.

Veg*nism kills. #FACTS

Seeing canola oil as the 3rd largest ingredient in there reminds me of this article which caused a stir earlier this year https://www.jeffnobbs.com/posts/is-oatly-healthy

Specifically this part:

Quote:
The third ingredient, after water and oats, is rapeseed oil, the slightly less flattering name for canola oil. Usually, rapeseed oil is used in the automotive and chemical industries to make things like engine lubricant and biodiesel, whereas the version used for cooking is known as “canola oil”. Both are extremely processed, inflammatory, and unhealthy oils and can even contain up to 2.03% of trans-fats [3]. Trans-fats have no safe level of consumption and have (finally) been officially banned in the US [4]. Seed oils like rapeseed and canola oil are one of the few foods left that still contain toxic trans-fats [5]. Based on its nutrition information, we can calculate that each 8 oz cup of oat milk (the amount in a small latte) contains about the same amount of oil as a medium serving of french fries. A large latte with oat milk would contain over 10 grams of rapeseed oil, much more oil than in a large fries. Every time you drink a latte with oat milk, you're getting the toxic and inflammatory equivalent of a medium to large serving of french fries.

All Vegan/Vegetarian scum should be herded into a gulag in Canada and then Nuked. This will serve a dual purpose.

Hey Mates,

Ive been thinking about going vegetarian and was looking for some guidance.

Doctor took my blood work and my cholesterol was through the roof. I'm 33 and have 3 little kids so I need to make a lifestyle change.

Right now my diet consists of something like : pizza 4x a week, fast food 4x a week , sandwiches occasionally, 3x a week semi healthy dinner . Oatmeal, cereal or skipping breakfast alltogether. Plenty of cookies and candy.

I think I'm addicted to sugar , actually I'm sure that I am . Anyways , I want to switch to a vegetarian diet, but I'm afraid going completely cold turkey I'll bail on the diet. Also, I suck at and hate cooking .

Any thoughts on what kind of diet I should start that's easy to prepare ? Any books you'd recommend etc..

What kind of food do you like? Lots of great Latin American, South/East/SE Asian vegetarian food. Or you can go hippy white person food and do stir fries with tofu, seasoned baked tofu, scrambled tofu, your favourite bean with onions, a can of tomatoes and your favorite seasoning. You can also still eat vegetarian pizza 4 times a week, or do vegetarian pasta or lasagne.

Recipes depend on what you want to eat and how much effort you put into cooking, but there are all sorts of vegan recipes at https://minimalistbaker.com and https://www.theppk.com/recipes/

Skeptical changing to vegan will help your situation much. As far as non cooked veggies items you could always do green salad.

Dunno what science of how to change diet is, other than it's tough.
