Pretty interesting they looked into these. Glad they did given that they looked at cases that came from credible sources. I can't decide if they shut it down because they weren't finding anything or if they were getting too close to finding what others don't want found. Thoughts?

It makes sense they looked into cases that had seemingly credible witnesses, but I doubt they discovered anything useful.

I'll read the article later, but in the tradition of the internet I'll go ahead and comment before doing so. I'm going to guess there is no way they shut down any investigation because "they were getting too close to finding what others don't want found."

The person leading the investigation team/company seems pretty certain that they found UFOs using advanced technology way beyond what we understand.

But I don't really understand how there is a cultural problem with discussing it as a serious topic.

If they really had overwhelming evidence of these UFOs, it seems like they would be able to change the bias against this as science fiction/fantasy.

because as im sure this thread will end up showing, you cant have a serious discussion on it because of the hordes of nutters, who will cry coverup and lizard people when the ****ty video of an obvious balloon that they are convinced is an alien space craft gets debunked.

Look at the Phoenix lights as a perfect example. Those were showed convincingly to be flares, yet they still make documentaries and specials on it, and its considered one of the great examples of "UFO footage" and just the other day I saw a billboard here in phoenix about how they are hiding the turth from us!!

So yeah, not possible to discuss it seriously. But really there isnt much reason to, since if something like that is considered a excellent example of a possible alien spacecraft, there clearly isnt any actual remarkable footage.

Some really compelling pilot testimony and the like, but again, too many nutters to actually have a serious conversation about it.

You read that article and concluded anything other than they weren't finding anything? What is wrong with you?

When I start seeing reaction videos from ndgt being convinced that a ufo is more than just unidentified I’ll be interested but with any extraordinary claim you need extraordinary evidence. A guy at the pentagon quitting his job does not equal aliens (unless it’s on an ancient aliens episode which is a strange guilty pleasure, then the answer is always aliens)

watched video, so its most likely a drone, and they had to edit the video to make it look like its something more mysterious. Not exactly anything amazing or game changing, and this is the best they found, which is probably why they stopped looking.

One of the guys said "bro" one time and the other guy said "dude" one time. Thats it. Bro.

Of all the things to ***** about in a thread like this you chose the stupidest non-issue possible. Good work.

There was about 4 seconds of footage from these "highly trained observers and weapons systems operators" and that's a perfectly accurate tldr of the conversation. I strongly suspect you're terrified of grumpkins and snarks that go bump in the night, but this is not evidence of either of those things.

I have critical thinking skills and know better than to believe everything I see and read on the internet. Your inability to do so suggests there is something wrong with you, not me.

At 240 knots at 25,000 feet the only kind of drone(s) they could be would be military. It would be nice if they explained where they were. If it was on a gunnery range, no big deal, likely drones. Different story if they were out in the middle of the ocean.

That case is so strange. I get the flares bit, but even the mayor at the time admitted he saw something that clearly wasn't flares, years after he poked fun of it on TV.

That's probably why the beeped out what they said, was the name of whatever military drone, at least thats what I assume. One guy was obviously convinced thats what it was.

Its not strange at all tho. That's the thing. There was some show one time that pretty much put the nail in the coffin on the whole thing. It was so obviously flares it was kind of funny. I have NEVER seen that documentary air again tho, all they do is show all the same dumb ones over and over.

"It wasn't aliens" doesn't get eyeballs on the History channel.

I once saw something that clearly wasn't a normal aircraft. It was just above the tree line, ****ing huge, and just stayed put in the sky, a few hundred feet up, w/o making noise. I looked up and starred at this big thing with a scary-looking red oval window. After whatever time, it just floated off super slow into the dusk, above the tree line, like it was dangling from a string.

I may have had a crazy-ass hallucination that night, who knows. It was the short route for walking home from school and I never walked that route again.

I don't believe most of the UFO stuff and would love to see that documentary. I guess the rebuttal is there was an event, then there was the flairs, or it's the other way around, idk.

Derp. If you read the article, they talk about the possibility of Russia or China developing unknown aircraft as a possible explanation of these sightings. That shouldn't sound terribly far-fetched to anyone. I never said it was aliens or that I believe in aliens. Truth is, I don't. But I am willing to hear the evidence and consider possibilities other than they just weren't finding anything. Again, that willingness comes from the ability to think and reason for ones self. Something you wouldn't understand.
