What would be hilarious is they do take it back to her. She plugs it in and it works fine. They then take it all the way back to his house, he plugs it in again and it doesn't work.

I do have to thank you because I'm never falling for a scam like this after reading this thread. I'm 100% making sure an appliance like this works before I do anything.

But if it was unplugged and slightly prepped, I would have never thought to check.
