It's not music if it's not made with an instrument. Computers don't count.

Because that's what they call (the game/dealing drugs/the criminal life in Atlanta) it was said on a few rap songs probably by Jezzy or some other wack ass rapper from the south and like I said Trap is just southern rap renamed for white kids since it's pretty dangerous for suburban white kids to go to southern rap clubs unless they're known thugs themselves. I'm not talking about a concert either.

I know this sounds racist but I'm in no way trying to be racist. Just being a realist on the subject of Trap Music.

don't know if araabmuzik counts. he basically took trance songs and put rap percussion on top:

After looking at some of the youtube comments I guess its accepted that this music is considered trap music now. Its just dance music though? Trap music already had a definition. Has to be a marketing thing.

I like my trap music to sound like this.

This is just wrong, but ok. Plenty of trap songs don't even have lyrics. Sure, some of the beats/sampling has a southern rap feel to it, but I'm curious if you've even listened to some of the more popular trap songs with the way you're talking about it...

Udummy, lol, I agree the nickname has been used before and sucks but yeah.

If you saw my first post you would have noticed I said Trap is basically Southern Rap without the lyrics. It's pretty wack but whatever if people like it's that's up to them. I like Speedcore and Gabber which doesn't have a very big fan base and most would say sucks.

My friend and I had a lot of fun making a trap mixtape. I'd really appreciate a download and some (CONSTRUCTIVE) criticism.

You should throw that on Soundcloud or YouTube so people don't have to download it, IMO.

Homie, Dope, N***a, Bitches, F this F that... I can picture teens enjoying these songs, but not adults. It just comes across as very juvenile and immature.

Dope, homie, bitches? This could be said about 90% of hip hop. The use of slang, what are you trying to say?

Who do you think the demographic for this music is, 35yo married men with mortgages or teens and young adults with disposable income?

Juvenile and immature? Thats a bit redundant dont you think? Then to add the very...cmon man make an effort. But hey you are entitled to your opinion.

Saw this tour in Philly. Funny that they let them do literally every part of their show except this, instead he had a mask on his face that shot the water. But everything else (fire, S&M crawl, giant foam-shooting dick) that was all fine. A very ambitious show with all they did, among the top 3 or 4 I've seen.

It wasn't as bad as I expected.

Though when watching the Rammstein video, I got the impression that this stuff would appeal to skinheads.

It's probably just associating anything aggressive and German-sounding with Nazis, it's not like you see much else of them in American/Canadian media. Besides that I don't get the impression skinheads like metal anyway, they have their own thing going and it sucks.

Rammstein has had to explicitly separate themselves from Neo Nazis on several occasions, and make the (obvious) statement that they are not associated with the neonazi movement, etc.

Nice, trip report after IMO. Clockwork is supposed to be good too but haven't heard much by him.

Baauer came to my town a couple months ago but was just getting into him. He seems to tour a ton so I'm sure he'll be back around.

Lady Gaga killed trap music before it even got to be in a commercial.
