He’s probably the same guy that is cleaning piss off the toilet seats and floor. I’d say he has some value

The strip club toweler provides the best value of the 3

At least he gives you mints. wet towels and cologne, much more than those others.

You come out way better taking a dump in a building
than trying to exit a building or trying to travel to another building

I don't want mints, wet towels, or cologne either. Even if he offers those things, it's still negative value for me to have him there.

Give him a $20 and tell him to get lost for a minute.

Exactly why you don't want him touching the towel you're going to dry your hands with.

Noticed something weird at brunch this weekend. When I got the check, the one they presented me with before I paid had suggested tips printed at the bottom (I think it was 18%, 20% and 25%) that were calculated based on post-tax amount.

After he came back with my credit card and the receipt to sign, that receipt had suggested tips printed based on pre-tax amount. None of this affected my tip. Just thought it was a really weird software glitch to have.

My answer in spoiler to not bias
Spoiler:
I think I would personally do $9,999/dealer or $100k, whichever came first.

27,

How many players and how long was the tourney?
Tipping Quote

Looks like 47 runners, 4 days.

How many dealers is that?

**** $10k a dealer.

I'd guess around 10 dealers for 5 tables, but who knows. Pulled that out of my butt.

27,

Ok, 47 runners, let’s say that’s 6 dealers who dealt the tournament. Of course they’re not working the whole time, but I’ll assume these dealers are all dedicated to this tournament. I figure $1000/day is a VERY generous wage for that. So that’s $24k total. Looks like $3M is about 20% of the prize pool, so I’d tip 20% of $24k = $5k. In reality I’d prob up that to $10k since I just won $3M.

Edit: if it’s 10 dealers, make that $40k, so $8k for my “share” and I’d prob leave $15k. Basically I’m gonna leave about $1000 per dealer, maybe a little more.

If we are using 10, I am re-calibrating mine to $5k/dealer.

Edit: If going by your 6, would prob go $9,999/dealer, which is about the same total tip.

does the whole tip go directly to dealers?

something like $100/hr times however many man-hours it took to complete the tournament

it would not even cross my mind to tip the dealer until i read this, maybe $200?

Spoiler:
or maybe about $350

Looks like both these points were already made.

Spoiler:
I was thinking each dealer getting about 1k was about right as well, which I put around 10k. Guessing there were about 100 total dealing hours in the tourney, so $100 an hour seems about right as well. Actually ****ed up a bit think it was closer to 140 dealing hours. Theoretically the winner and a few others should tip too.

$1000 A dealer seems perfect. More if they were actually dedicated for 4 days.

Semi-interesting tipping situation recently. Wife and I went to Top Golf for the first time the other weekend (in Portland, not Vegas in case that's relevant).

For those unfamiliar it's a driving range with targets and you get points for hitting the targets, super fun, even for rank golf amateurs like us. There's a server whose job is to explain the game to you, as well as bring you drinks and food if you like. We had just come from dinner so we each got a drink but that was it. So our drinks bill was $10, our Golf bill was ~$40, for a total bill of $50.

What would you tip?

goof,

Whatever, $10?

If drink bill was $100 and golf bill was $100, I'd prob tip $20.

grunching--$270 grocery delivery. Not a lot of vegetables. I think it is pretty easy. I was gonna go $20, but I am getting the impression by googling that might be cheap. Opinions?
