Got pizza take out today. It came to $30.50. I gave her a 20, a 10, two quarters and three $1 coins. She rang it up and offered me the $3 back. I wondered how pissed off springs would have been in she'd just kept the $3 without asking.

Again you prove you can't read. I'm not talking about bringing your food FIRST. He can get you your food faster by bringing both plates to the other table, dropping off their food first, then bringing your food to you. If you don't like that process, and you want him to go all the way back to the kitchen for your food and then bring it to you, you have just proved that your time isn't as important to you as you make it out to be.

It really is a no win situation.

So if I order a well done 28 oz porterhouse and then you order a salad are you expecting me to get my steak first?

HOW? If I would want it your way, then I would be making table 2(that's the 1st table you said), had to wait for our server to put our food on the tray. That's time that table 2 shouldn't have to endure of their wait for their food, understand?

YOU need to learn how to read. I WANT to wait my turn, because that's ONLY ******************FAIR*********** and the ****************MORALLY RIGHT THING TO DO**************!

DUH, I told you I knew that already MORON!

But that would be *********CUTTING************ and if I don't want someone to cut in front of our turn, WHY would I want it even if it's to my advantage, huh? Remember, I can't control the server's laziness to bring both on a tray and not make 2 trips, but if our server made 2 trips, they'd be doing it the *********FAIR AND MORALLY RIGHT WAY****. What you are saying is so the server can give ours faster than we were supposed to have it. HOW is that FAIR OR MORALLY RIGHT, HUH?

It would take around 3-5-7 seconds to put ours on the tray depending on how much they'd have to put for us on the tray and that's seconds of the table 2(the first table's turn's time). I wouldn't want the server to do that. DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I DON'T WANT CUTTING EVEN IF IT MEANS OUR TURN GETS IT FASTER THAN WE SHOULD HAVE HAD IT, HUH?

I don't want cutting in EITHER SITUATION. NO ONE SHOULD BE CUTTING TURNS.

NO, I just proved I am *****************A FAIR PERSON AND YOU AREN'T***********! I just proved I have a set of morals and don't feel that I should always be first, because I am not always first. WE ALL HAVE TO WAIT OUR TURN!

Our time is important to us, but if I expect them to be fair when we are first, I have to respect someone else's turn when they are first. EQUAL EQUAL! No one should CUT TURNS! You obviously don't have ANY **MORALS** to speak of, do you?

It would be VERY UNFAIR if I thought I should be able to cut EVER. I don't think anyone should be cut in front of and that includes table 2 that was first. Table 2's turn is theirs and not mine to interrupt, not the server's to cut in front of. Doing the right thing is what I am after NO MATTER even if I have to wait, because as I said before, if I expect my turn not to get cut in front of, then that would be very hypocritical of me if I expected to be first all the time, wouldn't it? It would be very unfair if I chose your way of doing things, even to our table it would, because since we are 2nd in the scenario, we shouldn't get ours that much faster(5 seconds or so). It's just plain ***********************UNFAIR AND IMMORAL************ TO CUT! Think like a line. Your cashier doesn't check out your groceries if you are 2nd and there is someone in front of. Seriously, that is what you are saying to do.

Bad idea, because none of them usually don't read the ticket or computer screen order and compare it to the food, so I actually HATE it. They have no incentive, because they don't get paid more money if they get it right nor lose money if they get it wrong, they are paid by SALES through other servers, NOT by performance.

Usually most restaurants have other servers running each other's food and that means even more so no incentive, because the servers don't get more if they work harder for the other server's table nor do they get punished in the tip for getting the orders wrong when the order was correctly put in by the original server that took the order.

I worked as a runner/busser at a fine dining restaurant when I was younger. I was tipped out by the servers and made good money so I was incentivized.
Always knew what table and seat the food was going to. Also brought bottles of water for every table, bread. Cleared plates, reset tables. It was non stop. And if you were a shmuck you got fired

Servers actually had it easy and really only took the order and handled drinks.

Then tell me why do they not check the orders, huh? Why do they not offer you something else(I would say it's RARE this happens like refills)? Restaurants are a team and also LOTS of times when let's say I have my condiments forgotten, it's OUR SERVER that corrects the issue usually, NOT the person that ran the food. That's not how it should be.

They do LOTS more than that. What about the check, ringing up the check, box, bag, extra napkins, check on the customers, put in the orders into the computer, pre-bussing, etc.?? I know how much servers usually put into the service and it's A ******HELL********** OF A LOT MORE THAN JUST TOOK THE ORDER AND DRINKS!!
