I think I made a post here at the time asking how poor taste it would be to address my friend as Semi-colon.

I do wish I had had your take at the time as the patient was a former editor so I think I might have been able to make it work somehow with that slant. It would undoubtedly be in poor taste now though after I asked who her surgeon was and she volunteered some info about him when it turned out to be the same guy.

Probably would have been in poor taste anyway, but you never know until you try

Yep. I had never really given it any thought, but if I had I would probably be surprised at how much I under-rated her toughness.
