Not sure when this one made sense-
"A stitch in time saves nine"
Nine what? And what the hell does time have to do with it? I thought it had something to do with a time warp or something.

It basically means fix your problems timely, before they unravel

I could have sworn the word was "exorbinant" not "exorbitant."

I just learned this isn't normal and I'm 28. When a guy at work told me he hadn't ever done it I thought he was weird. I walked all over the office asking everyone if they did it and found out I was the only one.
this is pretty standard imo. one of my business partners has his sister who works in our office walk on his back like every day.

My post count would more than double if I posted every post I typed and then deleted.

Had to move to Pennsylvania to learn Monopoly's Reading Railroad is pronounced "redding".

I guess I knew that, but I still call it Reading. It's deeply ingrained in my body. I was such a Monopoly sicko at about 6 years old.

Yesterday my old lady had lunch at a Mongolian Grill style place. She thought at lunch time you're only allowed to go up to the grill once. She's 38.

4+ years of orthodontists. 30+ years of dentists. None of these hacks ever told me that your tongue should rest on the top of your palate. Gravity says otherwise, and yes I'm a nose-breather, but I feel like my world has been violated (for the better?).

3.8 seconds of reading your post and this hack doesn't describe what a palate is.

So basically irrelevant for adults.

It's relevant if you care about your kids having proper jaw and tooth development.

It also prevents sleep apnea, snoring, and other miscellaneous breathing issues.

I'd like to go back to having no idea where my tongue is resting.

Yeah I hate that, when I had braces they wanted to put in a fork to prevent me from pushing my tongue against my teeth when I swallowed. I refused it because I thought a freaking fork would be stabbing my tongue all day, fast forward to adulthood I still have my tongue resting and swallowing in the wrong position other than when I think about it for some reason, like your post.
