Yea this one was eye opening for me too.

^I've heard people say toilet trees before but toilets treats is a good one.

So is the piggy that had roast beef also secretly subject to some bizarre death?

Some of these are hard to get for a non-native speaker but

14. I have some friends in their 30s who think behaving means being haved. (That's haved pronounced like shaved). They will ask their own kids "are you being have?" Like 'have' means good.

is well bizarre

My wife has relatives that say to their kids, "You're not being haved". Drives her nuts, I just quietly chuckle.

AND THE CUTE LITTLE PIGGY IS GOING SHOPPING!!! ANYONE THAT SAYS OTHERWISE IS A SICK, SICK PERSON!

4. It's "For all intents and purposes," Not "For all intensive purposes."

I am pretty sure that I learned that from Ryan Fitzpatrick on The League.

That's because it's not a real thing.

It may not be widespread, but there are no limits to idiocy.

This thread is amazing.

When I was a kid I would always ask my mom for the eggs with cheese in them. The meant an egg over easy. I thought the runny yolk was cheese.

I don't remember when I figured this out, but i can confirm egg cheese tastes way better than yolk.

Oops.
I'm almost crying right now. Haha!

Yes.

If you want to give your kid a dumbass name, go ahead. Don't take a standard, respectable name and make it a dumbass name by messing with the spelling.

There's no way that this little piggy would go to the market to get slaughtered.

First, pigs don't get brought to the market to be slaughtered and don't get sold to slaughterhouses. If a farmer wanted to slaughter a pig, they would do it themselves or bring the pig straight to the slaughterhouse.

More importantly, the pig is "little". There's no way someone would slaughter a pig before he is big and fat.

Most likely, the pig is being brought to the market to be sold to another farming family to be raised and fed through the season and slaughtered in the fall. Most likely, the pig's siblings will also be slaughtered at the same time unless they are kept for breeding.

So I guess that means the 10-15 trucks I see every week hauling pigs aren't going to be slaughtered?

They're actually being taken to the market so they can do their weekly grocery shopping?
