I also believed this for way too long, but tbh it's one of those things I just never thought much about. If you had asked me I'd just say "yeah a pimiento is a part of a green olive", but then if you pressed me on like what it actually
is, I'd probably have been like "wait a minute, it's not a stem, it's not a seed, wtf is it?" and realized I'm a moron.
