I took mine off and every time I took it to get serviced they put another one on. It pissed me off, as it should have, so I took a little pleasure in the throwing them in the recycling bin each time. With all my plastic bags.

The 1st thing I do when going to buy a car is tell the salesperson that I don't want their dealership **** on the car unless they pay me for advertising.

I walked out on a deal b/c 1 idiot tried to leave the license plate frame on the car. He lost a nice commission that day.

The dealership emblems glued to the backs of cars are almost just as bad

I brought my new car in for its first service this week, and the service guy asked what happened to their dealer sticker they had put on the trunk. I said I threw it away. "...So should I put another one on?"

No, you ****ing moron, you shouldn't.

Can't stand NFL play-by-play guys who are so dumbfounded by what they're seeing that they can't even attempt an adequate description. Instead they simply repeat the name of the player with the ball. Example: "There's a handoff to Johnson, and JOHNSON takes it to the 25 yard line." Greg Gumble does it all the time. Michaels does it a lot. Just bugs me.

Got stopped for speeding once, and in addition to a ticket, I got a warning because my dealer ad license plate holder was cutting off the tops of the letters of the Myflorida.com advertisement at the top of my license plate. I never asked for the dealer plate holder, nor had I asked for Myflorida.com to be advertised on my license plate. Luckily it was just a warning, because if I had gotten a $100 ticket, I would have fought it with every ounce of my being. Ridiculous.

Do you leave the tags on your clothes that show where you bought them?

Most people leave their car's maker emblems on. I don't think it is that much different.

The difference is similar to the Nike swoosh and a Kohl's tag on your shirt.

You mean the Kohl's price sticker on the Nike tag on the Nike shirt?

I get it. Why is driving around with a BMW on the hood of your car different than having a polo horse on your shirt?

The BMW on the hood and the polo horse aren't really different, it's the company that made the product. The tag/car dealer mini-plaque indicates who sold it to you. People don't feel like driving around an ad for the sellers.

It isn't.

Not yet you don't. Manufacturer vs retailer is what we're trying to get you to understand.

No, I do. They are too similar to bitch about one and not the other. You are just too accustomed to seeing VW, BMW, and Honda on cars to realize it. It is a step closer to production, but why does that matter? You are driving around, like a Mexican who has one of those oversized polo horses on his shirt. I do it too, but it pisses me off.

this is the emblem that was on my car:

It's thick, like a magnet on a fridge, but glued on. And that's about the actual size of it, too. I don't need balloon colors on my gray car.
