Or if you have any coin in your pocket give the cashier that.

Either of those is far superior to acting like a total jackass at the store.

It''s just so tilting, this morning at the gas station got 4 drinks and of course it comes to 9.07!!!! Just like magic, can't come to 8.97 of course. Of course I have no change in my pocket but I took the 93 cents change like a man.

What is the advantage of using a debit/credit card? If you ever have any gambling tax troubles down the road it's not smart to have a record of all your spending. People on a gambling forum should know this. If I'm fortunate enough to win a few thousand sports betting or at a casino I'm not putting it in the bank and leaving a record. Only thing I use my card for is gas and that's just because I'm too lazy to walk in and pre pay in cash.

It took me 45 seconds to buy a bottle of water with a chip card at an Office Depot the other. Cash> Card at some stores obviously.

I can just tap my card on the terminal for purchases under $100. Takes about 5-10 seconds for the entire transaction to complete.

That's all it takes here (U.S.) too. It's just that the chips are relatively new here so impatient people are used to swiping for an instantaneous transaction.

The transaction takes the same amount of time. It just seems like the chip is longer because you have to leave the card in the slot and not just swipe.

No, it does take longer to process card transactions with terminals that read the chip.

When you can swipe your card, the payment options come up immediately.
If you have to insert the card into the chip reader your payment options dont appear on screen for anywhere from 10-30 seconds depending on the specific machine.

You can time this. Assuming you are measuring the time from taking you card out of your wallet, to getting your receipt, the chip reader transaction will take longer.

Wtf, I just tried to order from 2 chinese and 2 sushi places near me and all 4 places are closed. Do Asians who own restaurants think people arent hungry on Mondays or what???
