Yes. You are correct. She fake coughs up a lung because someone (not me) lit a cig (in the breezeway) and looks down on smokers but finds it totally acceptable to participate in downright sexual acts in the same space.

It shouldn't piss me off because I smoke and have sexual relations with my wife but I don't do either act in the same place. Does this make more sense or am I still tired?

I'm not that familiar with your work, but sometimes I think the rough draft is better than the finished product. You made the reader think, and I believe that's what you want to do in a short story.

Yeah, it's a weird contraction of "have a good one" I suppose, but even that would sound weird if repeated in every transmission to every plane. She was handling the Clearance Delivery frequency yesterday afternoon at La Guardia and after we confirmed our clearance with her, she responded "Read back correct. Good one", which kind of made it sound like she was congratulating us on giving a correct read back.

problem with that is that maybe it's for work or some other gathering where you don't want the early comers to have a great selection and the late comers only getting the undesirable donuts.

But yeah, for personal consumption, variety is the spice of donut life

Just heard a ragtime song where the singer started about a half second into the song and didn't stop till the last note, complete with a bunch of "zaaa badda doowop zah pah bang" over the entire kazoo solo.
