We just went to the late night showing in the movie theater. We were the only 4 viewers in the whole theater so we decided to go in the "better" area 2 rows up, mainly for the lols. While the movie was already running, this middle-aged woman from the staff came in screaming we have to ****in pay the difference between the standard row and the expensive row. We refused and went back to the other seats. 5 minutes later she came back in visible mad because she saw how one of us had his feet on another seat. WTF.

this reminds me of the time i went to a concert in a stadium and had nosebleed tickets. my friend and i tried to get into the general admission floor area but the **** bouncer wouldn't let us in even though there was plenty of space for two more people! can't believe what a jackass he was.

I once got kicked out of a "all you can drink party" for stealing drinks but that wasnt nearly as much nittery like i had to experience today.

regarding your football analogy.
Imagine a stadium with 60.000 seats. You are the one and only person in there. You move 5feet to another seat. Its 11:30pm. Now you get berated by an 50years old woman without a life.

Its like when there are 10rows you have to pay like 7€ for the front 7 rows and 8€ for rows 8-10.

Rather recently movie theaters in Sweden have begun offering "plus"-seats. Comfier chairs, more legroom and the best spots in the room. These are a little bit more expensive.

Also there might (?) be a difference here since seats are numbered. Some theaters used a "first come - first served" policy but those do not exist anymore AFAICT. I really don't think you should have to pay the same for seats towards the back in the middle as for seats leftmost in the front row. Somehow the movie theatres beg to differ.

At a sporting venue or a concert there are always different prices depending on how good your seats are, right? So why not in the movie theatre?

Just sit in the seats you pay for ffs. I hate going places with people that want to move up after the game/show starts. Hard to enjoy yourself when youre worried about the real seat owners showing up and telling you to gtfo.

You know what pisses me off? People that arrive late.

This is probably something that should piss me off, but I want to rant.

I hate when people clean their windshields while moving at anything more than 20mph. The washing fluid ends up squirting over the roof of the car and hitting the car behind it, and ~3 times in the last year I've been the car directly behind them. This results in my (typically pretty clean) car getting tons of spots all over it.

In fact, last December, I brought a car, and literally less than 2 miles after I pulled out of the dealership with my brand new and absolutely spotless car, someone did this to me. FFFUUUUUUUUUUU.

Next time this happens, I'm going to honk, get in front of them, and do the same thing right back but hold down the wiper fluid button for a good 5+ seconds. Hopefully that'll both relieve my anger and teach them what happens when they clean their windows at speed, since they're obviously just oblivious.

I hope the "pay for your personalized seat" in theaters in USA doesn't happen anytime soon. Currently, there is a virtue to getting your butt in a seat in a timely manner so that you do get a decent seat. I'd imagine being able to procure your own seat would lead to more stragglers coming in late and disrupting the theater. Get your ass there on time.

Also how the hell do you get squirted with wiper fluid? You must be tailgating and they are probably doing it on purpose.

I wasn't tailgating. One of the 3 times I was actually in the lane next to them, about a car length back, and still got hit since it comes out in a wide spray pattern.

You'd be surprised at how far wiper fluid can go when you're going 70 on the freeway.
Or really any sporting event in Los Angeles.

Intersections that don't have a turn lane really suck when dickholes constantly sit in the left lane at a red light without a turn signal on only to put it on once it turns green.
