The bonus/cashback thing isn't around in the Euro countries I know of, a creditcard costs you money here usually (be it in fees or interest). Credit history is a 'negative' here.

I wasn't asking you, and in true Custer fashion you completely ignored the intent of my question in order to create an argument no one wanted.

Damn DiB, that's cold.

Referring to that goofy pic someone posted comparing the middle finger and the Jewish candles, it annoys me (and shouldn't) that the worldwide standard for dates isn't year, then month, then day. So goddamn simple, logical, and superior.

Good point, when in Rome. I do find it annoys a lot of people though and genuinely can't understand why. Barely anyone seems to be able to give me an answer other than, 'you're just supposed to take it off.'

The most reasonable was 'if you wear your coat inside, then your body adjusts to the extra heat, so when you go back outside, your coat doesn't have as good an effect,' which makes sense. With myself though, I don't notice the loss in warmth when going outside, so that's kind of moot to me.

Also, it doesn't explain why it bothers them if it's me that it's adversely affecting. I guess it annoys me that this annoys them, which it probably shouldn't.

Visiting people at home, 10-15 minute drive between places, 30-60 minutes talking to them. I'd be dumb to take off my coat while driving because it would be ridiculously cold getting in and out of my car with my coat off and also because the car doesn't stay warm while parked.

Drives me ****ing bat****.

Where do you put the receipt? I usually just jam it in my wallet with the bills George Costanza style.

I tell them I either don't want or to put it in the bag. When you're buying bigger purchases where you are taking a bag out with you, they usually ask if you want the receipt in the bag, but stupid stuff like a car wash, fast food, etc., they just give you the receipt. I don't want the ****ing receipt. Throw it out. Like that one comic says, "it's a donut, I don't need a receipt for a donut."

Villain, Dom:

A lot of places around here (coffee shops, grocery store, etc) now ask "do you want the receipt?" after ringing you up. It's great!

Edit: argh, this is gonna bug me now. Is that a Mitch hedberg bit, Dom?

Sorry, my credit card statement was for those in the US, as I was ignorant of credit card use in other countries.

It would definitely piss me off if I got bills, receipt, then coins on top.
When I was young and worked as a cashier, I would always give change first, then bills. Thought this was super standard.

Edit: Yes, mitch hedberg bit about donut / receipt. "We don't need to bring ink and paper into this."

Rarely butthurt. You're just an idiot. I'm not going to custerfluck this thread, because you have no idea what's going on outside of your bubble.

Bills receipt coins is the worst. Receipt folded around my debit card makes me angry too.

Students walking on campus with a coffee in their hand. I know it's a really stupid thing to piss me off, but I can't help picturing them all standing in line, spending money they likely don't have just so they can have their special coffee. Especially tilting if it's a frozen coffee milkshake.

i liked how in vegas they had tip jars everywhere, not used to that at all, so if my pasta at the lux was like $19.10 all that useless change for a $20 is insta-gone from my pocket. i usually throw coins in the garbage so this is nice.

coins are the worst

I get that this is the "shouldn't piss you off" thread. But, contrary to virtually every other post here, I can't comprehend at all why this might piss you off.

My entry: zippered jacket pockets where the zipper closes up rather than down. When you close by zippering down, there are two advantages:
1. Gravity can't force a closed pocket open.
2. Much easier to close a pocket one-handed.

Out of many jackets/fleeces/coats with zippered pockets, I think only one of them closes in the right direction. (Columbia fleece)

Americans hate coins and would rather deal with paper money that all looks the same, that I don't get.

last sentence is almost certainly false (it's false in the UK). first sentence is likely false also but I'm less certain. you can probably find something meaningful if you're a big spender. of course nowhere near the level of 5%, more like 0.5-1
