Local bar I go to a lot does karaoke. Usually no one sings and it's just the cook (who also runs the karaoke) playing the same exact set of 80s songs that he likes over and over while refusing to play anything else. Gets old fast. Luckily they've backed it down to just Saturdays after trying it 3-4 nights a week.

That's a great question. The cook will sing I guess. Was there about 3 hours last night and didn't see anyone else sing. I keep telling the owner to stop it. They have a touchtunes machine that I'd drop like 20$ into, plus other people there, so it makes no sense to me.

There's a dive bar near my house that went from being a meth-addled ****hole to a pretty fun place by playing karaoke nearly every night. They had some very good singers (ringers I guess) in there, and even most of the locals weren't bad. It basically became known as the place to go for karaoke any night of the week.

Now for some reason the owner has decided he doesn't like karaoke anymore and the place has gone back to being a depressing, mostly abandoned, watering hole for drunks. SMH

I hate "when I was a kid..." stories where the narrator leaves out details like age and decade. The lack of context tends to frustrate me.

My buddy lives a block away so we can drink however much we want and not have to drive. It's got good food and decent people and on non karaoke, or even busier karaoke, nights it's pretty decent.

2 things that should piss-off:

1) 2+2 purging threads. Searching through OOT, only 9 pages? What the crap?

2) There should be an option in settings to show censored words.

I have 619 pages of threads in oot. Maybe it's in your settings.

Edit... that is with 25 threads per page. So I have a rough total of 15,475 threads in oot.

Every time I watch Apollo 13 there's one throwaway scene that makes me furious.

The module is getting ready for re-entry, and they flash to the families waiting at home. There's people cooking in the kitchen, and one woman drops a big bowl of salad. It lands bottom side down, and some salad spills out, but is fine. She then proceeds to scoop the spilled salad from the floor and tosses it back into the bowl.

I just want to scream at her, "What the **** are you doing?!".
