How else will you impress everyone around you? Loud grunting? Letting the weights slam to the floor when you're done lifting?

Fwiw it's not about the numbers, it's about the shape of the plates. The numbers are on the side that should face inward.

After I pull into the cheapest gas station to fill up, I notice that the next gas station down the road is 2 cents cheaper a gallon. Life tilt

My girlfriend could be driving and instead of taking the nice easy right hand turn into one station, she would rather cross traffic and turn into the station that's 2 cents cheaper. She will also blow through 500 at the casino a few times a month smh

I never realised this. I don't see that it matters though, really. It doesn't affect how much weight is on it, so inwards, or outwards, you still get the same workout I believe.

Right, as long as both sides are done the same way it wont affect the weight distribution. Numbers in is better because it allows more surface-to-surface contact between the weights, making them more stable, and it makes them easier to grip when taking them off the bar.

I suppose if you only have two weights on each side, the first one in and the second one out could be ideal, still lose the better grip tho.

Ah yeah, that makes sense. I suppose it's always better to do things optimally if you can. You may have just converted me to an inny.

As long as they all face the same way friction between weights is the same. In fact, out wards is better since the weight with the least amount of friction is the smallest in surface area(the lighter weights).

Unless I am misunderstanding your point. My gym has identical weights.

I'm assuming you mean symmetrical, not identical, in which case the direction is irrelevant. Otherwise, you're very mistaken.

The definition hasn't changed. It's expanded to include the usage that idiots have employed. Intelligent people stick with the true meaning.

When people use 'literally' in the sense of 'horse' -- e.g., "I always enjoy riding literallies at the track".

I realized one today. It pisses me off when people say years in this century as "twenty fourteen" or "twenty ten" instead of "two thousand fourteen" or "two thousand ten".

Probably shouldn't piss me off though because 100 years ago would be referred to as "nineteen fourteen" not "one thousand nine hundred fourteen".
