2 is acceptable?

IME people with 2 or fewer are far more tolerable as a whole. Like, there's a 20% chance I'll like any rando I meet, a 12% chance I'll like a rando with 2 or fewer cats, and 1% chance if the rando owns 3+.

Got 3 cats and I agree, there's a <1% I would like you.

I want a cat, but the rest of the family is afraid the dog will go after it. I'm pretty sure she won't.

The only thing keeping me from getting a cat is that I would have to teach it to poop and pee in a box.

They'll figure that out themselves. No teaching needed.

1. Wut? Actually no need to clarify since I'm not getting sucked into a massive derail.

2. Why would I be mad?

3. How do cats in my home make me insufferable?

You should get checked for autism.

Depends on the breed and temperament. My dachshund would definitely eat my sister's kitten.

German Shepard. She could eat a cat for sure, but I think if I introduced her to a kitten she would be ok.

The initial intro is huge.

You have to be really, really careful introducing dogs to cats/kittens I think. I guess you gotta communicate to the dog that the kitten is now part of the family or whatever, I'm not sure how to go about that. But I heard vets have to deal with injured cats from dogs that the owners thought would never attack all the time.

She definitely considers me head of the pack and I think she'd listen to me, but I'm not 100% sure. She does has a strong desire to chase squirrels or cats when she's out for a walk. It could be better to get a fully grown cat that could defend itself. Our dog got face to face with a cat in the back yard once for about 10 seconds before I got there and she didn't seem to know what to do other than bark and get scratched on the nose.

Our dogs know the cats are part of the pack so there's not an issue. They will occasionally beef but the cats have their claws and the dogs know butt slaps are imminent if they mess with the cats.

The cat has to have some sort of safe place to escape to. You might wanna keep the dog on a leash too. I think with a fully grown cat you have the advantage it knows how to defend itself and can run away, but it might also take longer for it to get over its fear of dogs.

Best would be to get both as kittens/puppys so they grow up with each other.

An adult cat that isn't socialized with dogs is probably never going to be comfortable around dogs. If the cat attacks the dog I wouldn't be suprised if the dog responded in kind.

Dunno how adult dogs do meeting cats for the first time.

Def research this if you plan to do it.

The term 'Caucasian' to describe people who have absolutely no roots whatsoever in the Caucasus. Such an absolute BS term, what's wrong with 'white' or 'European'?

Because those aren't races?

I pretty much stick with "light skinned" or "dark skinned" when describing people. Works well, and nobody gets offended.
