In my experience , people don't want to see others earn things without it being hard/sweated. I have friends and family who love me , but secretly hate that I basically have gotten a get out of jail free card all my life , so if word gets around that I took a big l , they feel a little better.

That the English language uses "you" in both singular and plural pisses me off. I'm always having to explain when I mean it in the plural. Southerners figured out it's fine to just say y'all, but everybody thinks they're stupid and doesn't want to sound like them. That pisses me off too.

Also, "next weekend" pisses me off. Depending on which day of the week it is, I usually have to clarify. No I don't mean this weekend, I mean next weekend goddammit!

also that there is no singular gender neutral possessive pronoun, so you either use the awkward stilted "his or her", the gender biased "his", the oh wow look how hard I try "her", or "their" so then the grammar nits can bitch that their is plural.
