People who use the word "sexy" as an adjective to describe anything they don't wish to ****. For example, was watching food network last week and dbag guy fiery calls a dish "sexy" ... well are you going to eat it or **** it??!?! today at work, "WBS are the sexy part of project mgmt." ...really?!?

The week is shorter than you expected. This is a GOOD thing. Well, unless your Monday and Tuesday schedules are totally different and you miss appointments and meetings and stuff. But then I'd imagine after the first missed appointment you'd get things straight. If you're actually getting through the entire day wondering WTF is going on, you may have bigger issues.

Now getting most of the way through Friday only to realize at the end of the day it is actually Thursday is like getting your heart ripped out.

People who get on public transit with seats facing others and bring nothing to read or look at.

So I guess you're just gonna sit there and stare at me for the next 45 minutes, eh?

Having to give a reaction when opening gifts. Basically having to act exaggeratedly happy and surprised.

Watching people act exaggeratedly happy and surprised when opening gifts, particularly my mom.

Being obligated to comment how good the food is whenever eating anything that someone I know made.

Yes, the Holidays are coming, and this is what comes to mind. I'm a miserable bastard.

I've always preferred opening presents in another room when possible, otherwise I have to put on a moderately cheerful poker face. Never liked watching people open presents I got for them either.

Giving presents just because it's a certain day of the year. Spontaneous giving is ok.

I get gifts in the mail from family I don't talk to. I hate making the thank you call. And when I don't, I have to explain to them the next time around why I didn't thank them.

Stupid gift-giving ruse.

Thank you should be assumed as the default and no call needed. If you have some kind of an objection to the gift, that's when you need to call.

The possibility of gifts lost in the mail and they need to know you got it ruins my logic though.

We always have a family get together and it's usually 20-30 people and they always wait for the person to open their gift before announcing the next one. "Oh oh, let me see, let me take a picture" "What is it?" I don't really mind it though, 10 years from now I'll probably enjoying looking at those pictures.

not sure if this is a repeat but, regular posters who still haven't figured out how to embed youtube vids and just post the link instead.

so your preferred way of say dealing with xmas/birthday presents is to gather them up and retire to a private location to open them? and you'd have everyone else do the same? i mean i definitely understand the whole thing of having to put on a happy face for possibly crappy gifts or whatever and how it can be uncomfortable. i'm just picturing the alternate scenario as way more weird. ok everybody--there are the gifts...grab yours and run. let's meet up in an hour an act like nothing happened.

Even worse is regular posters embedding youtube videos in spoilers. It doesn't hide the thumbnail and name of the video, it's only power is making pressing play impossible.

People talking about their genealogy or ethnicity further than ½s.

If your parents are from different countries it may be slightly interesting, however no one cares if you are 1/16th Irish.
