Noboby has yet to get the little league thing right yet. All star teams from Cities like Kyoto, Japan compete with other jap cities. For the right to represent Japan in International play. Same goes for Americans.

U.S does the same thing before the final 8 U.S teams.

9, 8 Central means that it is on at 9 in Pacific, Mountain, and Eastern. The Central Time Zone is a bunch of farmers or something that have to go to sleep early, so prime time TV starts one hour earlier.
Oh yeah, it's been awhile since I needed to know that. But Mountain is like 5% of the US population, so there's little reason to say Central & Mountain.
