I've read the book and the guy was a moron imo. Doesn't take much to take a bit of time to plan things out a bit... so you don't wind up ****ing dead.

I'm sure if they had done a CSI style analysis of his brain then they would have found out that he had a screw or two loose that effected his ability to incorporate simple, basic +EV planning before doing dumb ****.

While reading the book I just kept groaning inwardly at his absolutely bat**** dumb actions that could have been mitigated if he had simply taken 15 seconds of his life to think things through every now then followed up with an hour or two of action to take care of basic crap before going "Into the Wild" *groan* like buying appropriate boots, rifle, clothes, etc. to survive in Alaska.

Only reasonable thing to take away from that story imo is that it was a good depiction of seeing how the natural selection and survival process works to lessen the chance of procreation of dumb-asses in the human species.

Does this "open parking lot" have people and vehicles moving around that you're semi-blindly backing into every time you leave?

The problem with backers is that when they are backing into a parking space everyone else has to wait for them.

This situation royally pisses me off because I deal with it every day at the end of my street:



Car 1 approaches on main road and is taking a left onto smaller side street.
Car 2 is waiting to exit out of side street and take a left.
Instead of just approaching and taking the left, car 1 stops short and with its blinker on, ****ing stands there and tries to wave out car 2 first, totally ****ing up the right-of-way system.
Car 2 now has to figure out that you are making up your own ****ing 'helpful' rules and letting them out, while also looking left for cars and looking right for cars passing car 1.

JUST. ****ING. GOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

It's gotten to the point where it takes ever fiber of my being not to flip off these helpful ****wads who are in fact ****ing up the entire program.

Should it bother me: probably not. Does it? fffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
