i was once on a transpacific flight next to a guy who was very talkative and it turns out he did holistic medicine and was in the midst of flying to asia to see a client

while he was committed to the bit and even tried to show me the aura of his crystals as he tried to alleviate stress on me by holding it next to me and he seemed to actually believe in his stuff

having said that, when i told him i wouldn't understand why anyone would ever pay for this instead of going to a regular doctor, that's when he admitted that almost all of his patients are high networth people with terminal illnesses where their doctors said there is no cure and he's the last resort

i then asked if he ever cured a terminally ill patient and he admitted he hadn't, so then i asked what the crystals were supposed to be doing then and he said he did believe that they did help alleviate things and brought some much needed emotional support
