looks to be a better place to be if you are a pickpocket.

It's funny watching Christians ("Christians") mock Scientology, when the only real difference between the two is that they learned about Scientology as an adult.

You’re wrong. The question is: are you wrong because of your own anti Christian bias or pure ignorance of how Scientology came about? I suspect both.

But this isn’t a religious debate thread so I’ll let you continue to wallow in your ignorance.

Incidentally, mods, why are posts like his allowed in this thread? It has nothing to do with the topic and only serves to bash people based on their religion. Why is this type of bigotry tolerated in a section of the forum not intended for religious or political debate?

For an atheist all religions were invented in much of the same way and I can see that being very humorous for that person. I don't think it's meant to start a debate nor should it offend you. He has his view and you have yours.

Back on topic... I have a good friend that's a challenge to get him to do anything and COVID has made it worse. He has a habit of bringing up stuff to do like "I'll come over to watch the game after I eat at my parents house" or "I'll swing by to hang by your fire pit" and then not showing. I'm so used to it I usually dismiss it but there will be a seat if he shows. Still pisses me off even though I know exactly what's going to happen.

Not really a “shouldn’t” IMO, getting irritated with that sort of flakiness is legit.

This is good, unless he's playing for your favorite team and he's bringing your team down. Then it should piss you off.

I think most athletes have a slow decline over seasons but occasionally you get a guy whose decline almost happens in real time. For example, Peyton Manning. He started 2015 a little worse but by midway through the season he got benched because he was so terrible. Came back for the playoffs and rode the D to the Super Bowl.

I see that for Brady. One day he's going to be Brady and the next he's going to be worse than ****ing Tebow.

It was for the first few years. More recently I just nod my head knowing he's full of **** as it's the expected behavior and I treat it as a pleasant surprise when he does show.

One does not take the Tebow's name in vain.

Your penance is to say 5 Almighty Tebow's.

When he beat the Steelers in the playoffs I was fully on the Tebow Train. I cannot say 5 Almighty Tebow's but will promise to never take his name in vain again.

Another example of this was Jeter. The Yankees put up with his atrocious defense out of gratitude for what he had meant to them. Even though I'm not a Yankee fan that loyalty did not piss me off..

The tape measure is never in the first place I look for it. Despite having a drawer for these items where the tape measure is supposed to live, it’s never there. Every time I need a tape measure, I have to allow an additional 5 minutes to actually locate it.

I like how whatthejish's post works as a reply to Zeno and also stands on it's own.

Nice.

How soon until people are calling Facebook 'meh'?

How many tape measures do you need lying around the house?

Yeah, you're the dude that lost his water and threw a tantrum when someone dared to suggest that men in unhappy marriages are a thing that exists. I'll file your opinion where it belongs.

Agree on the readers. I have two in the house and one in each car.

Disagree on the tape measure. It shouldn't piss me off when I don't put it back where it belongs. It should piss me off when my wife doesn't.

You are forgiven, Tebow's child.

Praise be to Tebow.

tape measures.

one or more on each floor of the house.
two in garage.
one in each car
two in motorhome
five or so in each shop, 3 shops at montana house

i use them all the time.

also keep one in my pocket. called a dollar bill, its 6 inches long. so folding it gets you most measurements.
also my medium pace is 2.5 feet. i can pace off hundreds of feet on level ground and be around a foot or two off.
