Things that shouldn't piss you off, but do. Things that shouldn't piss you off, but do.

I don't know if this is a new thing- I don't remember noticing it in the past, but: fast food workers asking for your name with your order, so they can call you by name when your food is ready. "Billy Joe-Bob! Yer burger's up!"

Mother****er, I don't care if you know my name. It's called FAST FOOD for a reason: I want it fast. I don't want to sit around and chit-chat and get to know the person who's presenting my artery-clogging goodness on a platter. Nor do I care if you've made some insincere show of making a personal connection with me by parroting a word I told you.

When I state my fast food order in a way to make it unambiguous, but they ask anyway.

Wendys drive thru:
"Can I have a Spicy Asiago sandwich..."
"Just the sandwich?"
Obviously, *******, otherwise I would've said "Spicy Asiago combo."

A. It's equally applicable inside.
B. I don't say the "Obviously, *******" line, I'm just thinking it (it's not in quotes).

I think they'd rather annoy some intolerant idiots than piss off customers and getting themselves in trouble by getting an order wrong because they didn't ask.

Meh. All words are made up. A new word was needed to describe something that is like a seminar but online. Does the word email bother you?

Oh. Thought you didn't like the grammar of the statement or something. lol I get it now.

Lattimers example pisses me off as well but I have a much more nitty example.

I get asked at the drive thru if I want ketchup. I always answer "No"

When I get home and find ketchup in the bag, I'm usually pissed. Not because I got ketchup I didn't want, but because I was asked a question that, apparently, it didn't matter what the answer was. Why ask me if you're just going to put it in there anyway?

If you're going to get mad if someone doesn't say thank you, you shouldn't do things for people. Why do you feel like you're entitled to get a response?

Yeah, people getting bent out of shape because someone doesn't acknowledge something like letting them into traffic or holding the door are ruder than the people failing to acknowledge this minor courtesy.

And I say this as someone who both routinely holds doors and acknowledges others who do so.

This whole generation .. .. .. ..... just ton of feelings of entitlement. It's god awful. I say this as a 31 year old, a ton of people around my age and more noticeably younger. I don't get where people's work ethic and sense of responsibility went.

RJ, save us.

Obv the person saying YOUR WELCOME pisses you off more than the person walking through the door, but that's a case of something that should piss you off.

It's not a big leap to douchebags who get upset at women for not accepting every time a guy hits on them. "BUT I REACHED OUT!!" herpa derpa.

I remember a letter in my uni newspaper in which some guy complained that he had held a door open for a feminist, and she'd yelled at him that she can open her own door, and threw her coke at his head.

I've heard that story in 10 different versions so wouldn't put too much credit to it.

That would make me mad as well, but arguably it should.

This thread cracks me up. It seemed like for a long while a lot of people were just complaining about things that probably should piss them off. Now that more and more people are posting things actually relevant to the thread title people are expressing disbelief that someone gets pissed off about those things.

The word "snooze" pisses me off. "I just took a snooze." Can't we just say "nap?" "Snooze" just sounds dumb to me.

And these are the same people that argue there is no good reason to hit a woman.

There are millions of good reasons. But only a few are sufficient.
