Is that a common term? I know a UT fraternity used to make pledges **** in their boots and then wear them, but I've never heard fill your boots in this manner.

Our sink is getting clogged from me shaving in it and my wife told me to shave into a paper towel and then throw it out. I hate this idea.

I can just drano or burn it or something and shaving into a serviette is emasculating... or is this a thing?

I'll let the mountain men handle your direct question, but in my experience women shed more than men and have a dgaf attitude toward drain cloggage.

Spoiler:
blame it on the wife

Have you been the one seeing the stuff in the sink? 99.9% of the time this is a female hair thing

Still taking the over as long as beard-trimming is not involved--as it does not appear to be here.

Beard trimming is involved. It’s definitely my fault to some extent. But isn’t there a quick fix (eg Drano) or does everyone with a beard shave into a coffee filter?

idk, I live by myself, have shortish hair, no beard and sink gets clogged every 4-5 months

also, I think you can get a little mesh rubber thing that fits over the drain to catch the hair

Well, considering that Drano is specifically made to dissolve hair...

Assuming your wife wears makeup there's a 99++% chance that there is a plug of black/grey foul smelling gunk in the base of the P-trap under your sink. It's the u-shaped thing that attaches in two spots with a threaded flange.

If it's plastic, get a good sized bowl and place it beneath the lower part of the trap (after moving all the crap from under the sink) - then unscrew the upper of the two flanges - you may or may not need to unscrew the other one, if you can swing the pipe free. Then take something like a wire coat hanger and use it to ream out the pipes - actually, your finger works better, but it's fairly disgusting (I'm immune to that sort of stuff due to my job) - once the gunk is out, tighten the flange and see if you're good, which you probably are. Don't over-tighten the flange - if you use too much force you can break it, and you'll have do the drive of shame to Home Depot. It's easy (I'm totally non handy) and liquid plumber/drano is evil stuff in a lot of ways, for the pipes and the environment.

We have separate sinks. The traps occasionally need cleaning--mine more often, due to beard trimming. That is very easy with our particular sinks. Occasionally Drano is necessary in one or the other--perhaps once a year or less.

I would never quit laughing if my wife suggested I trim my beard elsewhere. I do try to scrape the majority of the clippings off the sink and dump them into the toilet to make my trap cleaning less frequent.

If you're not shaving in the shower you're doing it wrong.

When MLB telecast says “Final” after a walkoff home run even though it’s not final until the batter successfully rounds the bases

Is that true if there is a runner on third who has crossed home plate?

Or nah, because they could still do an appeal throw to the base the batter missed and call him out? Would that run still count?

This. I have to drano or snake my shower once a year or so.

Thought of a good one. Old people with wireless Bluetooth in their ear. Doesn't bother me when I see a young or even middle aged person talking in one. But if they're like 60 I get annoyed because they're too old to be using technology.

Wouldn't mirror be getting steamed up constantly, and you'd have to place it where the shower doesn't rinse off the shaving cream while you're shaving - seems like a pain.
