Oh England is something else entirely. Most polite country I've ever been to, hands down.
I had to wait in a huge line for the train after a soccer match at the Olympics last year (apparently the transit authority hadn't added any additional service despite the event being known well in advance, LOL). Everyone was quiet and polite, none of that edgy restless bitching you'd have heard in America. I actually heard a guy just in front of me say, in a really upbeat voice, "Well at least it's not raining!"
