The fact that there's a thread about a scammer in this forum that gets bumped every single day, and it has 44k posts in it. What's the point of letting him keep coming back on 2p2 and dragging it out for years and years? Just ban him and be done with him like every other scammer on 2p2.

A pedestrian has to be basically in the crosswalk to get hit while a not-fast moving bike going 5-6x faster and can be in danger from much further away. Also somebody walking can basically stop on a dime while bikes need at least a few feet.

Ride on the sidewalks enough and you pretty quickly realize they have terrible lines of sight. Frequently trees, bushes, fences, and buildings block your view of the places cars can come from and also block cars potential views of the sidewalk.

In the USA sidewalks are often narrow - not really enough room for vehicles and pedestrians.

Seeing people running outside on the hottest days of summer -- it's bizarre how the number of runners seems to increase with temperature far past optimal or even reasonable running weather.

Runners with terribad form. It's your knees, back, and hips, not mine, but my lord is it tilting.

When someone pronounces "erudite" as if it has four syllables. This isn't a rare occurrence. Almost every time I hear someone use the word, they pronounce it as air-e-o-dite.

I thought it was going to be air-oo-dit-ay like crudité, because frankly nothing surprises me when it comes to American pronunciation.

Did you guys guy to super fancy elementary schools or super ****ty elementary schools that didn't teach you this stuff?

Walk against traffic if you're on a road, but always on a sidewalk if that is an option. Bike on the road, with traffic, because you'll be hidden from turning cars if you are on the sidewalk. Biking on the sidewalk is illegal in a lot of cities.

I was going on the main road and had the right of the way. Car came from the side road and had actually to stop but didn't. I couldn't stop so fast so that basically colluded with front part of the car from the side.

So... if you take it completely strict I rode into the car that was entering the road on which I was riding. But it was completely 100 % the fault of the car driver. He broke the rules and endangered my life.

Car drivers when confronted with bicycles somehow always assume that bicycles will give the way.

Just admit you stubbornly crashed your bike into a car to prove a point.

You should bike with traffic because that's where motorists are gonna look for you.

(study focused only on road intersections. I'm sure sidewalk riding is even more relatively dangerous at residential driveways and commercial parking lot exits)

Holy **** yes on the quadruple risk. Especially if when I do look right, you're in the wrong spot on a car like mine (Toyota FJ Cruiser), which has a big post at the right edge of the windshield.

I almost hit a few people, especially when I first got the car. Now I lurch tentatively to signal my attentions and prepare to slam on the brakes if someone appears.

Are there actually people using 'erudite' in real life sentences or is this something you noticed in poorly written tv shows/movies?

Why are lottery winners in the news? Even saw a scratch-off winner on a local news post on FB. This is not news.
