Things that shouldn't piss you off, but do. Things that shouldn't piss you off, but do.

When I am in a que in a grocery store and a dude behind me stands so close that he starts to touch me.

It is completely irrational but it makes me soo fuming that it cost me significant effort not to slap him. And no, he didn't try to grab me in a sexual way, he just thought that clinging to me will make the que move faster.

Both of those are ridiculous opinions, I'm just curious which one is yours.

Following chop in spirit if not in fact, I had pancakes yesterday morning with bacon, bananas and chili peppers. It was an odd but delicious combination.

I almost always back into parking spaces. I’m also not a schmo and I don’t take nineteen turns to do it.

You should back into him when that happens.

Oh, you meant standing in queue...

This anger is not at all irrational. I get itchy just thinking about it!

That is actually not a bad idea. A sudden hip movement could make him keep the right distance. Things that shouldn't piss you off, but do.

I normally don't have any problems with social physical contact like hugs or similar. But here it was zero social and the dude was behind me. I think this has contributed significantly to my irritation.

I drive a rather large truck and it is far easier for me to back in than to go forward. Turning radius and all that.

This is actually my usual reaction if I feel someone is too close for comfort (usually before any actual contact, of course). I tend to shift my weight towards them, lean back slightly, anything to put the idea that I'm invading their space (too?), while being able to justify it with sort of 'establishing my presence in my spot' action.

On the dance floor I'll throw elbows, though.

It is your duty to escalate the situation whenever someone invades your personal space. Society cannot run smoothly without your intervention! They must be broken of this behavior.

Take his milk out of his cart or handbasket and place it in yours (or directly onto the conveyor belt). As you are doing this, thank him profusely for getting the milk for you. He will have no idea how to respond, but if he appears to be about to say something then hush him (preferably with both the hushing sound and a finger placed gently over his lips) and nod knowingly, then place a candy bar from the cashier station into his cart/handbasket and say "you are most welcome."

I think you definitely have to assert yourself in regards to personal space, especially as a woman. I'm probably a bit more conscious about personal space due to being Aussie, obviously things differ all over the place. I probably would have said something like "Could you please give me a little space? I feel a little claustrophobic if someone is too close. Thanks!" while smiling etc. Or just stepping back and "accidentally" clomping his foot with your boot/high heel and a quick "Sorry" might also work

I’d say grab a whoopie cushion for the times you can’t actually muster a fart.

Classic reason people should be eating more beans. If you don't want to do it for your health, do it for your personal space!

Good one, but I rather think that this "should" piss you off. Another one would be someone who claims to be a professional, who lists a generic, gmail yahoo, or similar email address on a business card, website, where everything else seems professional. It reeks of amateur hour and something shady. It pishes me off, and even though I think it should pish me off, maybe it shouldn't. I agree with your being pished off about the Facebook site only. All of the signals are negative for me, as well. Another would be a large business that doesn't have a 1800 or toll free number. Once again, it really detracts, no matter what their "reasons" are for doing it....usually to avoid excessive customer service calls.

Seeing a public figure, or anyone with means, with something ugly on their face, that could be removed for a few hundred dollars. Phil Hellmuth's mole (or whatever it is). In football there is an announcer Tracy Wolfson with some hideous thing on her face. And there is a golf commentator, Notah Begay, who has something on his nose (above it) that could likely be removed for a small sum. Even if the price was a few thousand, all of these things could be removed. I don't get it. I guess it is hard to see how you appear to others.

Put it this way, if any of these people didn't have these things on their faces, how much would they charge for someone to put these ugly things on their faces? They wouldn't do it for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and probably not millions, yet they won't spend a few hundred on removing what they have.

It probably should piss me off but... the gap between the % of right leaning posts that are responded to by only personal attacks vs the relatively low % of left leaning posts that are treated the same way.

Is it the relatively poorer posting of the right leaners that causes this or is it the the left leaning posters being narrow-minded and un-accepting of others who aren't the same as them? I would assume definitly the later, but probably a bit of the former since 2+2 has done a great job of running off many of right leaners in the political forums.
