Have you ever shopped in a USA #1 store? It can be such an exhausting experience many stores provide scooters.

I've never had that pleasure. Maybe my opinion would be different if I did, I mean I doubt it but you never know. I like to just get in and out of supermarkets as quickly and efficiently as I can so I doubt I will ever go for the supermarket eating experience, possibly I could use the scooters as dodgem cars to ensure I get out quicker!

wait until someone convinces you to have pumpkin curry at a thai restaurant.
spouse and i will often meet friends at a thai place and each order an entree off the menu with the goal of eating family style. every time i've ordered pumpkin curry the friends will crinkle their nose, but every time they will also claim after the meal the pumpkin curry was the best part.

wtf? chips are only for adding the salty crunch to each bite of a soft sandwich. why the hell would you finish them before?

Would love to try pumpkin curry. Spot on in regards to crisps.

Pumpkin curry is great. I also make a chickpea curry that I will add pumpkin to if I have it on hand. I love pumpkin but have never had pumpkin pie. It's on my list for when I visit the US.

I love suzzer, but the dude eats subway--essentially compost on zero value "bread"--often enough to have a routine for queue consumption. He cant be hard to impress with any kind of gourd dish.

I was never interested in Subway because I really didn't like the smell coming from the stores. I have had it once when a workmate decided I needed to try it and gave me one. I agree with Johnny and Grando.

The cleanliness issue is what makes Subway line ok, but grocery aisle nasty.
How do you eat that it would be affected by where you are walking, and where do you shop that has floors you wouldn’t carry open food over?

Terrible, yes. Inedible, no.

Fair point. It just seems silly to me to use “inedible” for something that hundreds of thousands of people gladly eat every day.

Dude, if you looked up how many people eat subway everyday and that's why you walked it back to hundreds of thousands from millions that pisses me off. Allow some hyperbole in your life, man!

ETA: 7.6 million subs a day they sell. Maybe the bread is good.

Here's a subway bread recipe I just looked up:

1 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
1 1/2 tablespoon yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 1/2 to 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

Looks fine to me.

I'm pretty sure everyone is up in arms over the water temperature. 110?!

Doesn't Subway have seven different bread options? Surely one or two must be edible.

You should try butternut squash ravioli. It’s delicious. Especially good with sage brown butter sauce.
Ok I forgot about butternut squash. Gelson's (fancy grocery story in LA) makes a kale salad with that which is really good. I was thinking of the old flabby gross mushy squash my mom used to make. It was traumatizingly bad.
