I don't like people eating things in supermarkets. Seriously you can't be that hungry and it's never an apple it's always junk. At least wait until you have paid for it. Gross.

The subway thing doesn't make me as mad as at least it's an eating establishment.

Right. Although lots of supermarkets have eating areas that are pretty much right among the shelves. Some also have free samples. Although I agree going down the aisles eating a bag of chips seems gross.

I like eating the chips first. It's just more efficient. And no - when I go Subway I'm usually pretty hungry.

Whole foods has tables to eat at right in the store. Some other grocery stores do as well. Some have the tables outside. And many grocery stores have some kind of buffet thing these days.

Oh ok well that seems fine I guess. Also don't care about samples too much but people scoffing down chips and kids spilling stuff everywhere, urgh idk lol it just irritates me. I try not to grocery shop more than once a week lol.

Well right, and there's nothing i can do about it and it causes me great amounts of stress. She does do this bereavement group stuff where they do group therapy and also take field trips together to museums or whatever. It's good that she has social contact but i'm not so sure that a bunch of people wallowing in sadness is the healthiest group.

Yeah suzzer definitely gets a pass in this situation. Only absolute desperation or mental illness could possibly drive someone to walk into a Subway.

And everytime I tell him I just use the computer I dont even open my TV anymore please stop telling me which channel to put it on. He seriously calls me over 3 times a day to tell me to checkout the tv, still does. Sometimes he gets an outburst of anger because he's outraged that I wouldnt watch the tv (like whats wrong with me?) as if watching the tv is the new-age "you should go outside more !", while being on the computer is the new watching the tv and "unhealthy".

Anyways, thats not even what I wanted to post in the first place but I guess that fit in here.

My original thing that pisses me off is everytime he calls it always goes like this:

me: - hello?

Him: hello..................

me: hi. .................................. after 3-4 seconds of silence i'm starting to fume inside, YOU FRICKIN CALLED ME SAY SOMETHING AFTER I SAY HI DONT FORCE ME TO ASK "WHAT IS GOING ON/WHAT DO YOU WANT".

extra sometimes:
Spoiler:
me: ..........yeah?

him: you sound mad

That's all, im sure everybody knows someone who does this as their standard.
Kinda similar, I hate when people will message me with a "you there" or "can i ask you something real quick".

Just say what you want to say and save us both some time. Even if that is our generation's "how are you doing" greeting, just say whatever you came to say in the same message. It's super tilting when i answer "yeah" and have to wait 15 minutes to see wtf they want.

Also just thought of this because the same guy would always do it. When im about to phone in a togo order and ask people in the house if they want anything. And while thinking about what they want they ask me what I'm getting. WTF does it matter? I remember living in a poker house and having 2 of the 3 people I ask me what I was getting before deciding. I'm just trying to be nice not have a conversation. Tilted me way more than it should have.

It’s just another type of squash dude, in Australia pumpkin is on the menu year round.

Reminds me, we use an IM system in my company and everyone has a different expectation for greetings. Impossible to get it right all the time.

me: hey, have you heard back on the tests for project x?
Coworker 1: hi. How are you?

Oops. Coworker 1 refers me to coworker 2 after hat in hand small talk, followed immediately by:

Me (with fresh lesson learned): hi coworker 2! Did you have a good weekend?
Coworker 2: what do you need?

**** em both, tbh.

Anytime coworker 1 pulls that **** say “how bout them Giants” or whatever team you want and cut and paste the original question in.

What about drinking in a supermarket?

I rarely eat in a supermarket but I have done it occasionally when I’m really hungry. I routinely drink coffee while I shop. I don’t understand why either would or could reasonably bother someone.

I've never had non-pumpkin squash ravioli but I would bet a lot of money it's gross.

I hate "hi, suzzer" followed by nothing. Just get to the damn point so I can decide whether to ignore you or not.

I’ll accept your wager. How much?

You should try butternut squash ravioli. It’s delicious. Especially good with sage brown butter sauce.

Idgaf if someone says "hi Johnny", "hey how about this week's sports match/mass killing/natural disaster?" Or "know anything about the tps reports?".

I only care that people care.

This reminds me that my ex gfs Mom once ripped into someone at a buffet for eating while they walked back to the table. Pisses me off now too.

The cleanliness issue is what makes Subway line ok, but grocery aisle nasty.

Don't know much about group therapy but just from a personal perspective as someone who has really struggled with grief I think it sounds like a good idea. Talking about it with people going through the same thing without getting judged seems pretty beneficial. My approach of just trying to get on with it failed miserably fwiw. I'm sorry for your loss Jay.

I don't mind drinking as much but I would still prefer people wait until they pay and have it outside. Is shopping really such a thirsty job?

Never said it was reasonable but it is what it is.
