When people turning left at a T intersection take up the first position in the right lane where drivers can go either way and block others in the right lane from turning right on red. See Below
We have an intersection as shown above to exit our office complex. Often times when nobody is waiting at the light, a driver turning left chooses the right lane, this blocks others who want to turn right on red as shown above.
At times of high traffic and multiple cars in both lanes, not a big deal, but when there are 4 or less cars in the left lane, and nobody in right lane you should be courteous to right turners and choose the left lane.
Not to scale, in my MSPaint it looks as though car turning right can squeeze by front car and turn right, in reality the right lane width does not support this.
