That uber drivers in Nevada (and in other 1 license plate states ) ,don't ever bother to use their front plate (or go to dmv to get a second plate , and rather have all their passengers not fully know if that's their driver.

That should piss you off (meaning: it pisses me off too so it must be legit)

Think that's a pretty reasonable expectation for an Uber driver to have.

That uber doesn't show a picture of the car that is picking you up is worse.

It boggles the mind that there's not even a color given, which makes license plate very important.

How would seeing the license plate identify a car as an uber driver's car? Does the app give you the person's license plate before they pick you up?

Do you think people request an Uber and then just jump in any random car they see on the street?

it's much worse for drivers. a name (often fake, but unconfirmable regardless) and inputted destination is all they have to work with. riders can get free rides at will by saying they were never picked up, and the fare is taken from the drivers due to "not properly identifying the rider". honor system basically, pretty dumb.

doing anything 'above and beyond' like putting on an additional plate is just not happening for conscious drivers.

Sitting at the airport in a row of seats that have outlets. The guys two seats over is talking to his girlfriend about the bank closest to them not working when he plugs in. I tell him there is an open one next to me. He asks if it is working, and I tell him it is for me, offer to plug his in and put out my hand and he says "well, it's my computer so no".

I am not sure what the explanation meant but I'm mad. Also mad about the neighboring passenger farting constantly during the first leg of the trip. While it should pmo, I'm also pissed that others may have wrongly thought it was me.

I really wish the wright bros were never born sometimes.

Sounds like he's overprotective of his computer, like it's gonna get compromised if he plugs into your electrical outlet...lol

I would have been tempted to take his computer from him at that point.

I have ubered a decent amount and I know they give you a name and car model. I just don't recall ever seeing a licence plate number.

Usually I walk up to the car and he/she rolls down the window and says my name or I open the door and say persons name and if they shake their head yes I know I am in the right place.

The plate is important when you are at a mass pickup spot.

I bought my car in Nevada, so I don't have a front plate. Uberd in Seattle (two plates in WA) and didnt have issues.

Or half the Ubers are the same Toyota Camry like they are in NYC , I rarely take an Uber there ,but in Las Vegas at the airport and casinos I saw multiple people having to go to the back of the car to see if the plate matches yet no Uber driver thinks of getting front license plates. Oh well.

By any chance would I be correct in assuming that, if you had removed the computer from his possession, blood have begun pooling on the floor?

For sure. I got picked up outside of the Chicago theater about a month ago. Without the plate number I would have given up. Ended up hopping in his car in he middle of of an intersection.
