Love that it's the forum's favorite pastime to rip on me about my wife - even after a year or two of never responding to it - but a mod explained to me that even mentioning your...perversion...again would mean my exile.

And if this post leads to my exile from OOT for breaking that bull**** instruction then let it be known that IT WAS WORTH IT and I hope dogs perpetually **** on your grass.

Asking some friends if they want to join a fantasy basketball league, very casual league. Season starts in like 10 days so the draft would have to be soon and while we have enough teams, I want to reach out to some people I don't interact with as much and get them involved, if they want.

On multiple occasions I get the response from them that "I'll probably pass/I'm a maybe" but "I'll let you know/I'll think about it".

It's like no, bro, you aren't just going to think about it la dee da and if you so happen to want to do it at an undisclosed date tell me you want in. Save us both the anticipation and say no, like you clearly want to. I won't be waiting hands and knees for you to think about it and get back to me. And if you do end up wanting to do it, the draft is in less than a week so you butting in after league size and draft date are decided is a big hassle.

This probably shouldn't piss me off, because I know they just are trying to say no in the softest way possible, but it's one of my least favorite responses in a situation like this. It's not going to hurt my feelings and it's going to respect my time a lot more if you just say "yeah dont count me in on this one, but thanks" or something like that.

It definitely pisses me off that someone would so blatantly want to take attention away from me but I guess its for the good of the forum. I will pray for you DiB.

Just put in your initial invitation that you need an immediate decision due to deadlines.

Wait, how did I miss Yakmelk's perversion?? What is it?? Should I film it?

If he's talking about what I think he is you'd end up in jail without a doubt. I didn't mean for this to be derailed but iirc DiB is sure Im a pedophile because of comments I have made. I can assure you I have never diddled any children.

Thanks for clearing that up.

That I spent over 1:40 on the phone today with United, then two different reps from TSA-land trying to figure out why I'm not getting the TSA PreCheck emblem on my boarding pass any more.

Not the people; when we were talking, they seemed genuine in wanting to help me. I didn't like that I spent < 20 minutes with actual people and the rest waiting on hold after being transferred between these folks.

Not coming to any conclusion was a bit frustrating, but by that time, they'd worn me down.
