It's basically a mortal lock that I'll dislike you if you A) whistle more than once a month or B) you ever whistle as a social response.

My list of non-obvious behaviors / affiliations of people that almost guarantee my dislike of said people is pretty huge. Slightly different than this thread, maybe deserves its own thing.

I read all of these because my daughters were reading them and I wanted to generally keep track of what they were doing. I guess I can understand why they are so well-liked, but they never really grabbed me. I thought they were unserious compared to LOTR and Narnia, and rather more like the Chronicles of Prydain — entertaining enough, but not really moving or deep.

2 Olympic medals and a $hit-sponge! Is there training to become a race-walking judge?

I love my touring motorcycle. I'd never want to ride a streetbike for more than 5 minutes but I can ride my Goldwing for 2+ hours at a time no problem. Storage is a nice bonus too

Should be noted that I don't disapprove of whistling, it's just that if you do you belong to a subset of humanity I'm not likely to befriend.

Should also be noted that I still don't abide by the social norms indicating dog owners should pick up after their animals. Watch your step, your grass is nature's toilet.
