Stamps - I just order them from the usps website. I use 1 stamp a month to mail my rent. So just do that, throw in drawer, reorder every 18 months or so. Easy game.

Lazy Employees.
At convenience store today. Guy in front of me has a few items. Pays, grabs his items and walks away. I put my few things on the counter and notice a 20oz bottle of coke in the middle of the counter. I ask the clerk "Is this his?(and point to the guy walking towards the door)". She says yes and just starts ringing me up.
I'm like ok, and I yell out to the guy that he forgot his bottle of soda and he comes back, says thanks and grabs it. I guess her plan was to just leave it there? not tell the guy? Drink it? resell it? wtf...

The lazy employees thing probably should annoy you.

Results OP? (Well, not OP. Sorry seemed that way last few pages)

Did you try the "putting the envelope on the sun visor so it's visible as a reminder" trick?

In fairness, I forgot to tell you to make it visible. Partially on the sun visor. That might not have been obvious to you.

That there are developed countries where people still pay their rent by mail instead of just having it done automatically online.

I disagree. The employee is a useless ******* for sure, but she is under no obligation to chase after the forgetful customer.

Right. Her job is ringing up the next customer not compensating for the previous one's absent mindedness.

No, "be an obtuse ass" is not her job description.

So if you walk into a store there's no limit as to what the employees there should be expected to do for you?

So, yelling "Hey you forgot this" = no limit on expectations. Interesting.

Exactly. I expect a blow job on demand.

What an idiotic equivalence...

This person is a likely a barely-functioning minimum wage hourly employee who is doing a bang-up job if she's not stealing from the register, not a professional who should be looking for new ways to grow/advance/contribute. I think people are being incredibly naive if they truly expect more than the absolute bare minimum from her.

These are incorrect. If a blowjob is off limits then we've already established that there's something she shouldn't be asked to do because it's not her job. So are you now endorsing the "not my job" mindset?

This would only make sense if blowjobs were part of the offerings at the convenience store but were usually taken care of by someone else. If you know of such a place please let us know.

Doing more than is required, wearing more than the bare minimum of flair, is how one moves up beyond minimum wage scale.

It's called common courtesy.

So many people have forgotten how to interact with other people that society is a cesspool now and filled with idiots that can barely function.

I'm amazed the lazy employee thing is even an argument. If I worked a minimum wage job it would probably be instances like the one above where I could help someone out by calling out to them that would be a slight ray of sunshine in my day. I don't really understand any of the arguments given tbh. I mean if the cashier didn't notice it until it was too late or something, fair enough. I mean some of the arguments imply that due to being on minimum wage there should be no expectations of common courtesy, which I think is actually a little insulting to people who make minimum wage.
