I think you switch to half years at that point. I mean calling a 18 month old one is the equivalent of calling a 15 year old 10, but it only matters to parents because they want to be sure other parents are either impressed with their kid's development if they are early or excuse their lack of if they are big for their age. I was in the first camp because my daughter is ridic smart. Seriously. She knew her colors and shapes at 67 weeks.

I hear 18 months a lot, never 17 or 19. Seems unlikely. I can justify "a year and a half" at 17 or 19, but not "18 months".

My wife was president of the local mother's group. I have heard 17 and 19 and everything else. The proper response is remembering you don't give a **** about anything they are saying anyway and manufacturing polite responses until you are free.

Yes! It is aggravating to see a 40 something year old woman with bright red hair streaks and a nose or lip ring. Also 50 something bald men with an ear ring and put what little hair they do have in a pony tail.

Also I know a guy who had jury duty and would not vote guilty because the prosecutor had streaks in her hair. He said he thought that was very unprofessional and didn't trust anything she said.

Fact checked myself. It's under 100 members but events that have families are over 100 regularly. I'm a little pissed I know that now, I was happy being wrong.

People posting gym selfies on Facebook. Same thing with gap year trips abroad where they help build a school, tilts me because I think the large majority of people care about how they're perceived far more than the the deed they are doing.

Also parents who subtly brag about their kids in order to needle others, I'm not a parent but I can imagine it in a certain tone and demeanour which would send me on aggro tilt.

Maybe I'm overreacting...

But, then again, I've been fighting somewhat quixotically over the years against stupid **** like "business casual". How about we worry about how effective a person is at their job first?
