One for you, suzzer.
Dad comes over today and I ask him how his Fire TV stick is doing. Hoo boy.
See, about three weeks ago I was over his house and he mentioned that he'd gotten the stick but couldn't get it to work in the TV. I don't have one, but I'm the technology guy apparently, so.... I fix it by putting it into the other HDMI slot which hallelujah actually works. We set it all up, password's in, I scroll through the home screen, put on an episode of something to check it out. All good. He's standing there the whole time, so he knows it works.
Two weeks later I ask him about it again. He believes I've performed some Penn & Teller magic trick on his TV because as soon as I left, it apparently stopped working again. I sigh and tell him I'll look at it next time I come through. He jokes that his SO must think he's an idiot yada yada.
Today, he stops by and I casually mention it again, as I haven't been up to his place in the meantime. He says he got it fixed by going to Best Buy and purchasing a Fire TV
BOX and hooking them both up to the TV. And he's not even peeved about the superfluous $90 he just dropped on the set, he's mad because he had to go back to Best Buy and get a cable to hook the two of them together (or some such, hard to make sense of it all).
