Why stop at one decimal place? Because that one decimal place matters quite a bit on 1-10 scale, while each further decimal matters much less and less, to the point where it's not even useful.
But if someone so chose to use the hundredths place, then I could see a case for it to be respecfully done. Again, I'd like to hear where it's
implied that 1-10 can't have 0.5 gradations. Actually, I wouldn't, because there's nothing that says it is, and your conclusion is perfectly apt for this thread.
