Under the right circumstances, you can be more efficient speeding up and slowing down. And that's all I was saying, somewhat snarkily, in response to your statement, "No. Keeping a steady speed when driving is more fuel-efficient than accelerating and decelerating." I mean, Johnny El was pretty clearly referencing that technique and so he wasn't wrong.
I don't use that technique, I don't endorse that technique, but good to know all the same!
