Two interactions with Quicken.

When I download transactions, the King Soopers (local Kroger) purchases always get put in the Gas & Fuel category.

Also, when one of my retirement accounts gets a dividend reinvestment, it's always marked as a purchase, not a reinvestment (though there is a note that says div reinvest).

I assume both are on the sending organization's side, just miscoding transactions. Doing simple things wrong pisses me off (I imagine Quicken published an API). Iit's super easy for me to overcome, so I shouldn't get so wound up.

When people refer to tennis player Djokovic or basketball player Jokić as "The Joker".

Yes, they have some of the same letters in the same order, and there's a mild phonetic similarity.

Not sure why this bothers me more than it should. Seems like I've heard that Jokić has a great sense of humor too, so it probably shouldn't bother me at all.

There are a lot of them, but be aware that a lot of times in OOT misspelling lose as loose is a callback to when MLY was running amok in here.

If you want to use the plural, use MEN and WOMEN. If you want it to be possessive, use MEN'S and WOMEN'S

I'm sure the fact that is ESPN's matchup for Monday night is a total coincidence, and not something "clever" thought up by marketing.

One of the externalities of the internet is the significantly greater exposure to unedited written word.

Think about the days before widespread internet usage. How much of the written word were people (other than teachers) exposed to that had not been reviewed by an editor, copywriter, or someone else trained in language usage?

Written language will continue to deteriorate/evolve (depending on your perspective) based on this, as people have far greater exposure now to unedited written works, mostly in the form of social media.

To be pacific, it's a loose/loose scenario now, for all intensive purposes. Something that we all used to take for granite is now pretty much just a mute point, we're well past the point of nipping it in the butt. Irregardless, we can try and make the internet an escape goat, but by in large, it's a doggy dog world and honestly some of us just don't pass mustard. Personally, I could care less.
