The thing with uber and lyft is that your rides are artifically cheap (because the drivers don't understand how depreciation works). So a reasonable person tips a seemingly-large amount in order to make up for it. When you combine a seemingly-large tip with an artificially low base charge, of course the tip looks excessive. But it's not excessive in reality.

Adding a decimal point to a rating scale. Especially one that goes to ten.

Watched a Reviewbrah video on some ****ty pizza. He gave it... (I tense up) an 8.5 out of 10.

So it's either an 8 or a 9, goddammit.

Good one! Similarly scales from 1 to 100 that are adjustable in 5’s. The sleep number bed is a good example.

First thing would be to get a gun.... although I witnessed once an interesting scene.

I was commuting in university and was often pretty late. So not a lot of folks on the train. Once, I sit there listen to my music and see a couple in the opposite seat through a reflection in the window. Suddenly a dude puts a hand in his trousers. I am slightly amused, thinking that he is going to pull out his best piece. The dude pulls out the real gun, gives it to woman and she hands a bunch of money over. NYC subway is far, far worse than the DC metro for this stuff, and I say that as someone who spent way too many years in DC. The ratio of govt employees to other passengers does impact this pretty severely tho.
