Forgot about tall people. Guess you guys get a pass, as long as you keep your balls out of my ear.

Depends on the airline, just shy of 6'4 here and depending on how I can position my legs my knees start getting painfully stiff around the 3 hour mark.

Paid the extra £40 for an extended leg room seat on a long haul flight recently. Well worth it for a tallish person.

Yeah, I'll probably take advantage of that.

My leg was so swollen after my last flight I went to my doctor and they found a blood clot.

Regarding cheese it pisses me off that they give me a free sample of my cheese (Boar's Head Extra Sharp) when I get it sliced in the deli. It is delicious but every time they do it I end up having to buy a drink to get that dryness taste out of my mouth.

When you say "No thanks" to the free offer but then they include it in the pile they then slice for you. I thought it was free

I guess it bugs me that certain people, like my sister, can't comprehend/don't care that there are multiple power levels on microwave ovens. Consequently, everything gets heated or reheated on full power, when clearly some items are best warmed on 50% or less.

What don't you understand? He turns down the free sample, so they add it to his sliced pile, which then gets weighed so therefore he ends up paying for the "free" sample.

In the terminal, you're not *forced* to sit in the chair. You can get up at any time and move about. You can even find a seat with extra room so you aren't squished up against Uncle Fester who's relationship with bathing is strained. Also, the seats aren't bolt upright.

But even if they gave us recliners with our own personal foot massagers, I'd still get tired of sitting and want to stretch my legs.

This should maybe go in the scam thread, but if you're traveling alone in economy and don't want to pay extra for a good seat, don't select a seat when booking tickets.

Check a couple days before your flight and most of the "premium" seats will be available for free selection. Depending on airline and flight load, this happens anywhere from days before to day of flight.

On a really overbooked plane you may increase your chances of being bumped, but I haven't seen anyone get involuntarily bumped in a long time.

I pull up to Chick Fil A drive through around 9:00 AM for a late breakfast. it's a new store, it has two lanes for ordering that merge into one lane at the window. Since they only need to operate both lanes at peak times, each lane has an OPEN/CLOSED sign on the awning over the intercom.

I pull up, there is one OPEN and one CLOSED lane. You can't miss it, it's in big, superbright green (for OPEN) or red (for CLOSED) LEDs. There's one guy at the intercom ordering in the OPEN lane, so I pull in behind him. About 15 seconds later this bro zips into the CLOSED lane and pulls right up to the intercom.

The guy in front of me finishes his order and pulls up to the window. I pull up and roll my window down and... wait. I'm thinking, wtf. Then I realize I can hear the bro next to me ordering. Since it's not peak time, there's only one person taking orders so I have to wait until jerkface is done.

What's the play here? My thought was to say something at the window (after I got my food, natch) and just see if this is their official policy or what, but of course I just silently took it like a ****ing wuss.

So which of these should I be pissed off at?

1) angleshooting bro
2) CFA corporate drivethrough policy bureaucrat
3) the girl actually taking orders
4) myself

There should be a cone in the closed lane. You should be pissed at everyone but yourself. Don't beat yourself up for not being that guy that voices his displeasure of something that results in zero positive anything afterward (unless you value the window clerk saying sorry)

Whatever you do, don't take it out on the people working the window. They would get a load of **** dumped on them if they DIDN'T take his order.
