I don't buy the have to stand up for my aching ass asap business. When people are waiting for boarding to start they are all lord of the flies over chairs in the waiting area. Suddenly they can't sit for another 10 minutes? I have zero doubt they take a load off the very next available opportunity.
In the terminal, you're not *forced* to sit in the chair. You can get up at any time and move about. You can even find a seat with extra room so you aren't squished up against Uncle Fester who's relationship with bathing is strained. Also, the seats aren't bolt upright.
But even if they gave us recliners with our own personal foot massagers, I'd still get tired of sitting and want to stretch my legs.
