Maybe one time out of 10 I appreciate when a car stops to let me cross in front of it. The other nine times, I wish they would go first to completely remove themselves from my calculation of whether I’ll survive crossing the street.
It's worse because I always feel like I have to give the little wave and break into that really light jog that shows I'm also trying to be nice. Just let me trudge across the street at my own pace after you pass.

This is tilting.
In my neighborhood there are a couple streets where if you're going north/south you have a stop sign. If you're going east/west you don't.
So I'll be stopped at a stop sign since someone going east/west is approaching the intersection. Then they stop and wave at me to go. Just ****ing go you don't have to stop!
Xcel cuts power this morning to replace a utility pole in the neighborhood around 8:45 am with no notice. Get an email at 9:30 am stating power getting restored at 11:15 am then an update at 9:41 am that it will be 3:45 pm. No bid deal, cooler today that it's been and I have work to do without internet.
Get updated email at 1:29 pm that power will be restored at 5:15. Ugh. Power is restored at 1:48 pm.
It's like they have an app that randomly extends the estimated time the power is out and when they restore they're like, "Great news! We got power restored more quickly than we thought!"
