What really annoys me with these shows is that when the performer is doing their thing - they keep cutting away to the host to see what their body language & expressions are - as if it is a cue to how the viewers should think & feel about it too. Especially on that show America's Got Talent

Hmm....you joined this site in 2008 which is 4 years later than I did. I still have less than 800 posts while I think it said u have around 32,000. So you obviously spend a lot of time Screaming on this forum.

Any child knows the content of your reply. I'm betting that you were in such a hurry to post a negative reply that you didn't actually comprehend the post. I didn't mention anything about judges. I did mention the host of the show. Judges and hosts are different entities.

Hosts are sometimes referred to as Master Of Ceremonies also. I happened to be with someone who likes to watch America's Got Talent and the host is onstage when an act is performing, but out of site of the studio audience.

But once in a while the T.V. audience will see (& sometimes hear) how the act is going over with the host. This is what annoys me (& I think it should, hence the Title of the post).

American television is so dumbed down because America is being so dumbed down by the Giant Corporations that do all the marketing and advertising & running the country.

I would assume the producers of the show think that doing the cuts to the host brings in more viewers so they can charge more for companies that advertise on their show.

As to your other 3 negative replies....I just think they are funny & also display childlike qualities.

You start by typing SHUT UP like I personally attacked you in some way....lol. And then u type some insinuation about my Mother-In-Law, which brings up the high probability u need some psychiatric help.

I'm not at this forum very often anymore, but I do think when your avatar name is written in a color, it means your a moderator or something higher up the ladder depending on color.

I had seen there was the topic.....Things that piss you off but shouldn't. But not the others. I knew when putting this title in it was pretty nuanced & might not go over too well which I think I alluded to in the OP.

It looks to me that some folks have posted in the Spirit of the Title. But a lot of people just think it is too similar to other threads.....and I get that. So if you folks that run things here want to take this one down or away or whatever its called.....thats fine by me.

When I get the chance to play Galaga arcade game and the fire button sticks or has a slight delay.

When I find a Space Invaders video game and
the left/right controls are buttons instead of a joystick.

Im nimble AF with the joystick , dodging in and out /between the bunkers
and can often clear 2 screens.
With the buttons im lucky to get one screen.

In this "golden" LOL age of improv, you'll see actors have completely different head angles, hand placements, looking in one direction and then split second later looking in an impossible to get there in time direction, etc.

100% agree. This is a holdover because in Britain's Got Talent, they have a completely un-funny duo called Ant and Dec that the British people for some reason enjoy seeing, and they play the host role, which is for the most part them saying "look at that!". It adds nothing to the show, and it added nothing to the American version, no matter whether it was Nick Cannon or Tyra Banks.
