Tainted Love is a fine song, as is Ventura Highway. Because I Got High is a catchy sing-along that is funny and thus not terrible, but nobody should confuse it with good music.

"Conspiracy" isn't the right word, but I wouldn't be surprised if BEP's music was created entirely based on analytics-based human response, as in some data scientists are sitting in a room studying what chord progression/tempo are most likely to "stick" with the current crop of humans and they just churn out music based on that.

I crank up You Belong To Me when it comes on. My daughters rag on me because I can never remember whether it is “you belong with me” or “you belong to me” so I split the difference and call it “you belong to with.”

I think this song is at worst "okay" but I'd never listen to it around anyone -- I can't help but feel like a good girl who knows it.

I used to listen to this a lot when I was around 16. I still like it and listen to it once or twice a year, but it's a guilty pleasure. Love the "yeah" interlude in particular, too cute. I guess it's a bad song.

I'm ashamed that I like this cheesy song and its cheesy video. I hated it but had the misfortune of listening to it at some point when I was on ~3 hours of sleep, which can be a weird time for me. Now I listen to it a few times a year when YouTube recommends it.

Just kidding this one is awesome.
