maybe there should be a separate spin off from this thread where we talk about female led modern pop music, because a lot of it is awesome and it's clear several posters ITT unguiltily really enjoy it. also i just want to post infinite Charli XCX songs and talk about how great she is

This song is more tolerable when played at 2x normal speed, as is the "hello" song posted earlier.

I thought an interesting spinoff would be "music everyone else seems to like but you don't". For instance it's obvious Sia is quite talented but for the most part I can't get into her music at all.

I also feel the same way about 100% of U2's catalogue, 95% of Taylor Swift's, and 90% of Springsteen's.

Joe - what is some of the Springsteen you enjoy?

Also, a lot of U2 haters make an exception for this one:

do you?

Another one the haters sometimes make an exception for:

Who are some of your favorite artists?

Going off the top of my head -- I'm on Fire is a great song and probably my favorite from Bruce. He's done some great live versions of it.

I listen to Atlantic City a lot. Dancing in the Dark is pretty good.

My tastes are all over the map (if you twisted my arm and made me name my all time favorite, I'd probably say OutKast), but if we're talking about the classic rock genre: Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, Fleetwood Mac stand out as artists I would (or have) pay a lot to see in concert.

And thanks for the U2 clips, I'll check them out this weekend! I'm really not here to argue U2 sucks, simply that I don't "get" them while it seems everyone else does.

I just discovered this band and this tune tonight i can't stop listening it and no am not sure how embarrassed i am

Another take, it should be very possible to make small playlist and just alternatem

Lyrics, what really makes it. If you could just get the lyrics... but it is impossible to well translate, such an old complex language, so punny with so many playful possibilities where each word declines in 7+ ways and make for a beautiful lyrical expression...
I could destroy this thread with turbo folk. Pop folk or techno folk, i could rek it in 5 minutes and OOT would never be the same.
But You are Not prepared so here is something on the theme that found it's way to my frequent history after i watched American commerci... sports television s, peace and love.
