Was going through a cafeteria line to get food and Mark Cuban was working one station, making either omelettes or Cuban sandwiches. So I thought I was witty with my "Hey Mark, I wanna Mark Cuban sandwich"

I was playing basketball against a group of Filipino guys and they kept taking breaks to eat Filipino snacks and drink Filipino sodas. One of the guys shook up a soda and I said “oh great” because I thought it was going to spray everywhere. Apparently he thought I was making a racist comment about him drinking a Filipino soda so he tried to hit me but I dodged it and his fingernail cut the bridge of my nose.

Later, we were at a bar drinking Filipino sodas together. The blue one tasted better than the red one.

i knew an egyptian fellow who would shake the f out of coke, let it settle and let out the gas, tighen the cap and shake again, rinse and repeat for a few minutes until his soda was flat - just the way he liked it

he told me this was how egyptians did it

i later lived in egypt for a year, not once did i witness that insane behavior

they do love drinking coke though

Full disclosure, if I’m drinking soda out of a two liter and it’s too fizzy, I’ll do the shake and release to flatten it a bit. But not all the way flat. Only crazy Egyptians do that.

fizz is the only nice thing about soft drinks

they are otherwise sugary trash water

as a doctor, you should know this since it's medical fact

How about just drinking flavored seltzer instead!?

I feel terrible because i made so much fun of people with soda streams because i was thinking it was like homemade cocacola and not soda water

i love it, drink the bubbly water from a soda stream every day

not into flavors

I’m talking stuff so fizzy, it burns your throat when you drink it. Also, if I’m drinking soda, I go diet to avoid the sugars. Not an all day everyday thing, of course.

The only flavored sparkling water I find tolerable is the New York Seltzer stuff. All the other stuff tastes nasty and bitter to me. It tends to upset my stomach, too.

I find it to be a thing. It’s not a thing for you?? Maybe I just have a sensitive throat.

i've never heard of that but i'm a weirdo who clearly doesn't inquire enough about the state of people's throat while partaking in beverages

I’m actually surprised it doesn’t bother you. So you can chug a soda or seltzer with no throat issues? Or beer, for that matter?

I was visiting my friend in San Diego and when I was leaving his house, stepped outside to discover the city had pitched a massive tent over the whole neighborhood and they were projecting an episode of Thundercats for all to see. Most people didn’t realize it was an old 80s cartoon and thought it was real life and the US was under some sort of attack.

It isn't uncommon for very unsettling things to happen in my dreams, especially during periods when I am feeling stressed.

last night i dreamed so vividly that we put the float back in the water

it was so real that when i woke up this morning, i thought i'd take advantage and go for a nice morning paddle on the ocean, only to get up and see the float still anchored to it's winter storage on the rip rap and the pier still standing there with the ramp firmly strapped down and away for winter

was fully convinced that was real but it's still a little early, water so cold still that there's no floats yet in the water
